That Aunty Call Me Supermom

Just a story for sharing 😊 For your knowledge, my daily routine every end of business hour are like: walking fast from office to Ampang Park to get on the earliest Putra LRT to Sri Rampai Station, then grab an Uber or usual cab to fetch Aafreen at babysitters', and lastly headed home safely. At most evening my button 'rushing mode' switching on because I must not be late to fetch Aafreen by 6.30pm. I need to respect the babysitter's private hours starts 6.30pm onwards.

On one day in last April, I need to walk in to Shaklee branch at Sri Rampai due to insufficient quantity of twinpack Vivix to order online. So my button trigger 'plus plus rushing mode' on because Aafreen's before 6.30pm and Shaklee before 7.00pm..(why..why..oohh..why..) However, I'm very determined that all things surely can be done on time 👀

Upon reaching Sri Rampai station, I have already done booking an Uber to accomplish my missions that day. Luckily with Allah bless, my Uber driver was a Chinese Aunty driving Myvi. She was too kind to help sending me to all the places before heading home. She also willing to switch off temporarily her Uber Apps so that non of new trips were sending to her phone while her with me. We were having quite lengthy and meaningful conversation during the trip. That aunty being asking details of what I did for living, where is my origin, where did my husband works, how many part time jobs I grabbed and so on. Throughout the conversation, I have a feeling that she was motherly type of aunty 😍

Aafreen was freaking loud and too friendly while we were at Shaklee branch. She was offering everybody her bread (the one that she have eaten half-way 😏). Memang makin galak lah Aafreen when everybody layan her 😆. After settling my business there which took about 20-25 minutes due to ramai orang (pity that aunty who have to wait for me 😡), I was ready to heading home. That aunty still keep on smiling and sambung sembang. What surprising me was, she asked me, "How did you do all these..yes..I mean working full-time at office - part time jobs some more - Shakleeing - take care of your own daughter during nights & over the weekend without a helper?" She adding more, "You are such supermom".

I had a long smile towards her before answer it confidently, "Determination + vitamin aunty!!" My life had forced me to do many jobs at a time, so without any option I had to do it. And yes, I'm wearing cap of a full-time employee (during weekdays), a part-time worker (during night/over weekend), a wife who do the house chores myself (cook everyday, maintain house in order etc.), a mother (entertain the most clingy daughter ever) and a Muslim (who cannot neglect chore worships towards our God). I know there are people who teasing me like "You boleh lah.. muda lagi.. banyak tenaga lagi..". What they didn't know is that I force myself to get enough supply from supplements to help my energy everlasting. That is why I call Shaklee as my number 1 helper aunty!! 😊😎

My turnover point is when I often sick and had to undergo few operations years back. For me, health is a blessing from our God so we need to cherish it while we have it. Once we got sick, it will cost us a lifetime $$KachingGgg$$, boredom and sadness. Since I notice that not all vitamins be in my day-to-day meals, I choose Shaklee supplements as substitutes. After breakfast, normally I had 1 tablet of B-complex + 1 tablet of Vita-lea + 1 tablet of Vita-c Plus to stay energetic for the whole day. And before doze off, I had 2-4 tablets of Ostematrix. This is the most basic health set that I took as my helper everyday ❤

I took B-complex to gain energy, thinking capacity and also to reduce daily stress level. Vita-lea is also for energy booster because it consists of 28 essential vitamins and critical minerals for us as an adult. And Vita-c Plus for immune system, skin, eye also collagen provider.

Ostematrix widely known as calcium pill. So I took Ostematrix before go to bed because it is the best time (sleep time) when body absorbing calcium to body. I notice that waking up in the next morning will be a refreshing moment for me. No more back pain or any muscle pain.

Right Brain Stimulation for Kids

I have read an article regarding right brain stimulation for kids very recent. In that article, the expert advice to start giving stimulation to baby as early as 6 months. For your info, right brain is actually working more effective than the left brain with proper guidance and training. The expert give a picture whereby the kid's brain age 6 years below is like a sponge. Their brain able to adapt and absorb all type of stimulation easily during this age. In addition, the expert said that all kind of activities involving the finger's movement are best to stimulate kid's right brain. The activities for example:
  1. Playing / sculpting the clay / plasticine into easy shape of something. It can be a cat / fish / flower / house etc.
  2. Origami / folding papers into a shape of something. The easy one and we usually learn since primary school must be airplane also boat. Any type of papers can be used for this activity.
  3. Cutting papers / other materials. The example is like cutting shape of a house from old magazines / newspapers and then do collage. The activity will stimulate kid's right brain while they are cutting straight lines / curvy lines / edges / circles etc.
  4. Insert beads into thread / ribbon. Tried this to Aafreen 😊.  First, she was little angry when tried hard to do like what mommy shown but failed. Then Mr. Z continue to show her few more times and step-by-step in doing it right. After several attempts, Aafreen manage to do it right, exactly same steps like daddy shown. Bravo Aafreen! She did show her enthusiasm for the first 20 minutes before start to get bored and put the beads into her mouth 😄 Then she starts to play with gunting 😁 Boredom melanda + focus ke laut dah.. But I can affirm the article was correct about the brain of 6 years old kids like a sponge. Aafreen absorbs quick, learn quick & deliver right after 👶
  5. Drawing / coloring activity. Parent can try to draw half-shape of flower and ask their kid to continue the other half. This activity leads the kid to think the correct final images in mind before pouring it onto the drawings.
  6. Storytelling. Kids will use their imagination to create a complete short story. Parent also can try to create half-way story before ask their kid to continue create their own finishing.
  7. Riddles. Parent can put an object into a blindbox..kotak tisu pun ok 😌..and let the kid guess what is inside. Ask the kid to guess what it is, the color, the shape etc.
  8. Flash cards. The faster the cards moving, the faster kid's right brain work to capture and remember what been shown.
Estimation for all activities to be done: 30 minutes each. Indirectly, these activities not only stimulating our kids right brain but also create a strong yet quality bonding times between mom, dad & kid.

Common among us, the best supplement for kid's brain development is omega. Most formula milk in the market nowadays include omega as one of ingredients to cater kid's need. Aafreen somehow love Omega Guard Shaklee. She can chew the capsule while playing / busy with her whatever business. Instead of giving good food to her brain, it also helps much in preventing her from flu.

Cry heavily when mom refuse to give her more. She wants more than 1 capsule 😏
Aafreen + Omega Guard berpisah tiada

Lega lepas bergelut dengan mom 👀

    ViViX vs Cyst

Assalamualaikum & hello everyone. I was gone for a while with no specific reasons 😉 How are you guys doing? Health? Hopefully everything is in order & in placed.

To those who didn't know, I'm actually a Shaklee user for few years now 😍 As far as I remembered, the person who has been responsible to introduce me with Shaklee is my friend, Masitah (my former teammate/classmate during master). She also recruited me as her anak manakan in Shaklee since then. Because I keep on buying-using-buying again-continue using again-again-and again-and again again... 😎 So in order to be practical, she offered me to be Shaklee member right away. This way, I can buy those products as member's price and win some cashback at the end of month. Jimat + berbaloi!!

Last time, back in middle of year 2014 I was eager to get pregnant after being married almost 2 years. Myself thinking that it was quite some times that we waited for little one to come along. So I need to work on something. So I have decided to consult Masitah on that matter. To add the story long, in that 2 years I was diagnosed with ovarian cyst & undergone surgery for 2 times. As for the record, KPJ's specialist who treated my case said that ovarian cyst somehow will interrupt our usaha to get a child. Cyst ni jahat said the doctor. Kerjanya mengacau je 😖

Sedikit tentang Ovarian Cyst: For a normal woman, ovary organ will produce some sort like a bubble which known as ovarian follicle each time during menstruation. Inside the follicle contain ovum (benih wanita). After the ovum being discharged, usually the follicle will immediately shrink and dissapear. However, in certain cases, the follicle didn't shrink and memerangkap pula benda-benda kotor / sperma yg dilepaskan ke dalam badan wanita / saki baki folikel rambut etc. And it grows back to the size of more than 2cm. This is what we call Ovarian Cyst. So if the cyst eating all the sperms, how can ovum meet them in person right? ahakss 😂

Lebih kurang macam ni rupa cyst tu.. 😷

From there, Masitah suggesting me to try on Vivix Shaklee. The most raja vitamin of all in Shaklee product line. The mahal one. Haha.. ternganga I sekejap when she told me the price. So after done considering: 1) don't want more surgeries for ovarian cyst 2) don't want to proceed fertilization package with KPJ's specialist (sebab ridiculous. Belum setuju apa-apa lagi terus prescribe me with Clomid. Eh eh eh.. too fast too serious doctor ni..) 3) want to get pregnant naturally tanpa ubat **Shaklee is vitamin/supplment ok. Bukan ubat untuk merawat 😃

So there it is, I bought twin-pack of Vivix and consumed it about 2 months++ untuk repair semua sistem dalaman. Then I proceed with set pre-natal untuk membaiki hormon & tenaga lengkap. At the same time, Mr. Z also being forced to consume Vita-E Complex + ESP. Haha.. 😉 Dengan izin Allah s.w.t. I got pregnant for the first time after 3/4 months consistently consume. Ditambah pula I also went to gym and have personal training sessions in order to get fit physically. Unfortunately, I had miscarriage and grrrrrrr it was so so painful experience. Sakitnya keguguran hanya Allah know best. I back-up again.. continue eating the set pre-natal (Vita C Plus, Ostematrix, B-Complex, Vita-lea and ESP) and workout. Then somewhere in November 2014, I was again disahkan pregnant. Alhamdulillah.. I delivered Aafreen on July 8th, 2015. I continue my Shaklee vitamins during the pregnancy then confinement until now.

Therefore, to ladies outside there who suffer from cyst (any kind of it) and still got problem to conceive, I highly recommend you to try ViViX and Shaklee pre-natal set. You might also suffer from no serious illness but years of waiting to have little one.. you also should consume Shaklee as ikhtiar. Also if your husband who have fertility problems.. can try these out too. We never know unless we have tried. Rezeki coming from Allah, only he know the best time for us to conceive.

I will share you so-called kepuashatian this fella in using Vivix against Cyst.

Here are some of kebaikan Vivix Shaklee:
    • Menggalakkan penuaan yang sihat - awet muda & anti-penuaan
    • Membantu mengelakkan risiko kanser - merencat sel kanser dari menjadi semakin serius

    Beading

    Assalamualaikum w.b.t & hello all...

I am a self taught beader. I have a huge passion in beading however due to time consuming, it took lot of effort to do so. You know... juggling myself with office work, house work and babysitting Aafreen... they seem like too many things to do at one time... so beading work can wait...

Few days back, I wanted to spice up Aafreen's plain black kurung for this upcoming wedding event. So I took out old-kept beads to do so and I learned using trial and error. Then I got some beads on dress images and reading materials online for my own reference. So hereby I would like to share with you guys the outcome of my latest project on beading.

Since Aafreen still loves to bite here and there, also put almost everything she found into her mouth, I have decided to only focus beading on neck-round and minimal design on the kurung itself.

It took me 2 days to complete this project.

I was thinking to do some side-jobs with this beading activity. So to those who would like to place an order, do let me know (nurfarhana.mnor@gmail.com) or just leave your contact info in comment space here. I will keep in touch with you soon. The price can be negotiated since I'm only a self taught beader :-)

    What you doin' mummy? :-P

    Daaa...

Never too late for Eid 2016

Assalamualaikum everyone.. Sorry it took me quite some time to update this blog. Not really realizing what have been kept me too busy from writing a post. So how is your Eid celebration & holiday? Fun + great?

Talking about Eid 2016, our family had a quick one too. Z and I only applied for 2 days leave. 1 day before Eid (Tuesday) and another day after Eid (Friday). Short & sweet holiday :-P

We finished packing for balik raya at very last minute since both of us were busy in previous days. Myself didn't sleep overnight to make sure everything in place before leaving for holiday also giving a chance for Z to have a short nap before start driving our journey. We started our journey balik kampung (Terengganu) on Tuesday morning after everything in order. Z drove slow & steady. We need not to rush for anything ahead. Our main target is to arrive kampung right before buka puasa. So that, our last buka puasa will be surrounded with family members in Terengganu.

We took Karak Highway then LPT as main routes to reach Terengganu. And actually quite surprised because the traffic was so clear. Not so many cars on road & RnR. Maybe at that time, people already reached their kampung because they took advance leaves.

There were times where I incidentally slept because got some sort like headache and rasa nak demam due to staying up overnight packing stuffs. But not saying just me who incidentally slept, Z was too :-D Soooo not gooooD.. He said because the jalan was so lengang & hot sunny outside made him barely open his eyes.. Sleepyhead ~

After bout 5-6 hours drove, we finally reach Mak's house. Huhs~ We manage to buka puasa with everybody. HooRreyyY!! Last day of buka puasa in Terengganu...

The next day, only Z went to Solat Aidilfitri with others. Me & Aafreen stay at home and get dressed. I did dress Aafreen up with this turqoise baju kurung + headband. She looks very sopan like in the picture. Cewahhhh....

    Aafreen and cousin, Kakak Ayraa

But not until both start sweating and playing around. Haa..I saw your pampers la Aafreen :-P Kakak Ayraa, where is your tudung?..

Aafreen is teaching Kakak Ayraa how the toys working :-D

The best full picture of ours on the 1st day of Raya. Blurrrr...

We did the routine like salam-salam everybody, give and receive duit raya with niece/nephews. Then we ate some foods on the table (nasi minyak, nasi dagang, ketupat palas, rendang daging, rendang ayam kampung etc.) and save some spaces for other foods coming in during our visit to relatives', neighbours' and friends'. We had spent 1st day Raya visiting others' houses.

On the 2nd day, we got up & prepare to go to my eldest brother's house. He did some sort like open house for families & close friends. There..more foods went down our stomachs..full full full.. Z for the first time saw a Terengganuian eating laksa with bare hand/fingers there. He was like so donotknowwhattosay after that. I'm also a Terengganuian but not too expert in coordinating my fingers chopping laksa and go straight into my mouth. Hahaha... :-D On the other hand, Aafreen seems happy playing with her cousins and friends.

Aafreen's outfit for 2nd day of Raya

Us on 2nd day of Raya

The 3rd day of Raya was the day we have been waiting for, Aafreen's 1st birthday celebration. It was July 8th, 2016, a year after I gave birth to Aafreen the cheeky princess. We woke up early for birthday cake's hunting at whichever bakery that opens in Kuala Terengganu's town. Finally, we bought delicious & quite pretty cake for Aafreen. We put on some remarks saying Happy 1st Birthday Aafreen on her cake. The guests start coming at 3.30pm. And we didn't wait too long to start cake's cutting session. Z lights up the candle for Aafreen and she was so impressed by that. She didn't even care when everybody singing a birthday song to her because was too attracted to the lighten candle :-D. The menu for the day are laksa penang + pulut kuning with rendang + desserts (kuih/ice cream/fruits/birthday cake). Some photos of Aafreen on her very 1st birthday.

If you may notice, my Mummy didn't manage to find a new pink skirt that match this romper.. Hahaha...

Happy birthday dear daughter. You have grown so much since the day I first held you swinging in my arms. Your first birthday overwhelms me and daddy. I wish you a fabulous life ahead. May you be among the blessings people and stay as true believer hereafter. Mummy & daddy love u big time. Ameen Ya Rabb...

The 4th day of Raya, we switched our plan. Instead of heading back to KL directly, we make a pit stop at Seremban to salam raya with PIL. We started our journey after lunch time and reached Seremban at night. Next day, MIL cooked 1st Raya menu again since all my siblings in law were there. The gathering was unplanned because everybody is actually celebrating Raya at in laws first then only headed back to Seremban. However this year, Alhamdulillah we manage to meet everyone in Terengganu and Seremban luckily. That is why our Raya this time be a short & sweet experience.

    Something for Ramadhan 1437H

    Salam Ramadhan to All,

How is your third day of fasting? So far so good? :-) Hopefully, this Ramadhan let us practice patience even more as compared to the previous ones.

Actually, I feel a bit sleepy while doing my works in front of PC. So, I let the gloomy eyes to take few minutes break by reading some of my favorite blogs and write something onto mine too. And, I stopped by reading what Vivy has posted.

Literally, I agreed with Vivy when she said that We always want GOD to give us the best, but when HE asks something of us, we turn here turn there to find “logic” in ways that suit us. But then, we would never question the good things HE gives us. Such hypocrites, us human beings.

First thought that came cross my mind it is true, we as human beings create the "logic" of our own just to please ourselves not GOD the Almighty. We would always want others inclusive GOD to make us happy but reluctant to do the same in return. How about this time around during the holy month of Ramadhan, we do vise versa, we make GOD happy with us.

Meaning that everything we intend to do or doing is referring back to how happy GOD with us. Like I wish you dear GOD to feel very delighted because I have completed my 5-times Solah everyday in this Ramadhan and will preserving doing so later. I hope GOD is very happy because I went to the mosque more frequent to do Taraweh and donate portion of my gaji to orphans and the needy. God must be smiling because I manage to control myself from telling lies and talk unnecessarily during this holy month.

The ultimate reason of doing these is simple, to make GOD happy with us. Who might know that by doing these, we can achieve tranquility. GOD is very merciful and always sees our intentions to improve every single day. Starts small and starts now. Stop judging ourselves or others by not capable enough in doing so. Just do it and remember to make GOD happy with us. Continue practice patience and be fully in charge of our own Nafs.

    GROW OLD WITH YOU

June 1, 2016 means the hat-trick years for us as husband and wife. THANK YOU dear Mr. Z for sadness and happiness you gave for all these years. It does not matter where we are or what we have, as long as I have you by my side, I will be that strong to hold-on. THANK YOU for being you and spoiling me with your unconditional love. THANK YOU for choosing me as myself and hopefully we will be blessed hereafter together. Hope Allah s.w.t. gather us again one whole family real soon at Jannah. May you continue to be a wonderful husband to me and loveable daddy to our children. I wish you nothing but happiness, love and joy with us in the years ahead.

    #throwback010613

I just caught up with this song all day long :-D Though the lyric sounds funny, but it truly making sense and easier to explain. To Mr. Z, I Love You for the sake of Allah s.w.t. May he preserved my feeling towards you. Ameen Ya Rabb...

I wanna make you smile whenever you're sad
Carry you around when your arthritis is bad
All I wanna do is grow old with you

I'll get your medicine when your tummy aches
Build you a fire if the furnace breaks
Oh it could be so nice, growing old with you

    I'll miss you
    Kiss you
Give you my coat when you are cold

    Need you
    Feed you
Even let you hold the remote control

So let me do the dishes in our kitchen sink
Put you to bed if when you had too much to think drink
I could be the woman man who grows old with you
I wanna grow old with you

    Beach Experience

Last labour day's holiday, we went back to Kampung at Terengganu. How we missed Kampung after few months not going back. Our main target is to bring Aafreen to the beach for second time after last visit at her age of 3 months. As far as I remembered, she was sleeping along the way during her last visit but we managed to wake her up for pictures ;-)

This was taken during her last visit to the beach

We took the road and started the journey around 10.00am on Friday morning. Yes, we applied for leaves from Friday - Wednesday for this special balik Kampung plan.

On the way KL - Kampung. She was playing as if at home :-)

First activity upon reaching Kampung was swimming with cousins in special made pool by Atuk. Seeing her swims happily made us believe that later will be cheerful moment at the beach. Perhaps~

First time experience swims in pool with cousins

On the next day, we have decided to go to the beach in the morning. We knew that in the early morning, the waves were calmer compared in the evening. With all hope, Aafreen will love beach as much as we did.

First time experience at the beach. Turned out, she was crying quite heavily whenever I put herself down on beach sand. Helpless mummy :-P

Not liking the feel of beach sand. Duduk atas mummy je la..

I think the hearsay of small babies not really enjoying moment at the beach is far beyond true :) Mummy will try again during Raya Puasa later. You will turn 1 year old dear daughter during that time. Saw the bright cutey pink swimming suit? Chosen by Z. If happen to be me alone choosing new suit for Aafreen, I would like to buy the revealing one. Baru lah sexy sikit ;-P

We were stuffed with lots of good food during days in Terengganu. We had Nasi Dagang, Nasi Kerabu, kuih, Satar, Keropok, Seafood Celup Tepung, Nasi Ayam yadaa yadaa yadaa..etc.. After spending quality time with family members in Terengganu, we head back to KL.

Stop at R&R somewhere on LPT Highway so that Aafreen can eat her lunch. This girl I tell you haa nowadays eating like main-main. It took more time for her to finish her food. Patience mummy patience...

Sleep long & well on the journey Kampung - KL

Aafreen is enjoying her time with Atuk, Nenek, Uncles, Aunties & Cousins during this recent visit. Hope to see everybody again during Raya Puasa in 2 motnhs time. Toddle~

    D.I.Y. Baby Colored Blocks

    Happy Thursday All !!

I'm quite happy today since it will be my last day at work for this week. Our family will be going back to Kampung tomorrow morning and be back again next 5 days. Whollyyy Yeah!!! It has been quite long time since our last return.

Before leaving for tomorrow, why not I share some activities I did last week during my not-too-busy days at office. There are 2-3 days I'm not being imposed with urgent tasks. So what I did was gathering recycle stuffs in my office and build d.i.y. toys for Aafreen.

What you need for this d.i.y. colored blocks - old newspaper, colored papers, used tissue rolls, A3 size box, scissors, glue, cutter, pencil & eraser if needed

Easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy right? So do it yourself !! Therefore, optimize your spare times in the office like me. Just make sure, don't kantoi with your boss otherwise she / he will be giving you tons of new workload ;-P

Before ending post, I would like to share with you what Aafreen being doing if she came to mummy's office ;-)

     Tidy-up mummy's workplace / sleep / play with herself (out-loud shouts)

Bye-bye for now. Aafreen see you when get back from Kampung :)
